August 26, 2005 - PHOENIXVILLE, PA, USA  PRNewswire - Globus Medical, Inc., one of the ten largest spinal implant manufacturers in the US, announced today the release of the XPand(TM) Expandable Corpectomy Spacer and the Protex-CT™ Posterior Cervico-Thoracic Fixation System. These products mark the Company's initial foray into the Tumor and Trauma segments of the spine market and maintain the two-year-old Company's torrid pace of product introductions.

The XPand™ Expandable Corpectomy Spacer's unique design allows a surgeon to easily size the device to an infinite variety of anatomical situations. The Protex-CT™ Posterior Cervico-Thoracic Fixation System employs self-tapping, polyaxial screws that allow for an unprecedented 40 degrees of angulation in all directions.
